Terms of Use

Draft · pending attorney review

Effective date: 1 December 2026

1. Who provides the service

RecoverKR is operated by Han Kyeongjae Law Office (the “Law Office”), a law office in Seoul and a member of the Seoul Bar Association. All legal services are provided by the Law Office and its attorneys. The website is built and run for the Law Office by Theone Co., Ltd. ((주)테오네), which does not provide legal services and does not share in legal fees.

2. No attorney-client relationship yet

Sending a claim through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. That begins only when you and the Law Office sign an engagement letter. Until then, do not rely on anything on this website as legal advice for your situation.

3. Conflict check and acceptance

Before accepting a case, the Law Office checks for conflicts of interest. The Law Office may decline any case. If it declines after you have paid, the fee is refunded in full.

4. Fees and invoices

5. Reply guarantee

For steps 1 and 2, we reply within 3 business days in Korea. If we miss this, the fee for that step is refunded. A reply means a substantive update, not an automatic message. The guarantee does not cover time spent waiting for documents from you or for courts and other authorities.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can stop after any step by email. Fees for work already started are not refundable. Details are set out in your engagement letter.

7. What you agree to

8. Confidentiality and data

Once a case is accepted, it is covered by attorney confidentiality. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Results

Every claim is different. We cannot promise that any amount will be recovered.

10. Liability

To the extent Korean law allows, the Law Office’s liability for any matter is limited to the fees you paid for that matter, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing on this website is legal advice for your situation.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court has jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
